Disk Doctors UNIX Recovery (Solaris) is a simple, powerful and easy to use application for UFS file system supported by Sun Solaris.

UDR must be installed on a Windows machine and the drive containing the UFS volume should be attached as a secondary drive to recover lost data.

UDR finds lost data from SATA, IDE/ATA, or SCSI drives. It has a collection of extended algorithms to recover data lost due to virus attacks, accidental disk formatting, and software/hardware faults, or even disk re-partitioning.

UDR can be used on volumes that have been formatted/reformatted, re-partitioning or any sort of corruption causing inaccessibility to the volume, corrupt Inode tables, corrupted Master Boot Record, damaged cylinder group header, corrupted Super Block (the sentinel for allocation information), damaged VTOC, or failed verification/repair.
